About Anna

Anna describes herself as a “pedigree mongrel”—in other words, DNA from here, there, and everywhere.

She has been living in Cambridge for the past couple of decades, and first picked up a paintbrush in response to the works of the Norwegian artist Kristin Brå Oksavik. Anna’s paintings range from the whimsical to the serene, using acrylics and mixed media, and often feature texture, a sense of light, and hints of iridescence. She hopes they bring joy and a sense of wonder or playfulness to people.

Besides painting, Anna is a poet and novelist, is a fan of her “10-second workout”, and is owned by a cat who informed Anna just before Covid lockdown that she had adopted her. Occasionally the furry one will try to help Anna paint by walking across a wet canvas...
