Moonrise

A symphony of quiet elegance, Moonrise captures the delicate intersection of architecture, atmosphere, and emotion. This abstract cityscape is bathed in the ethereal glow of a full moon—its silvery light draping the skyline in stillness and transforming the harbour below into a mirror of glistening reflections.

Delighting in the interplay of texture, transparency, and iridescent pigments, I wanted to conjure a world suspended in time. The vertical strokes evoke high-rise silhouettes softened by dusk, while subtle shifts in color—from moody greys to soft greens and ochres—suggest the shifting play of moonlight across water and structure. Iridescent elements glimmer quietly within the work, revealing themselves differently from every angle, much like moonlight itself.

Moonrise is an invitation to pause and breathe—to witness the majesty of the everyday, reimagined through light. It offers us a moment of stillness that is both intimate and expansive, ideal for sophisticated spaces that seek artwork with depth, subtle drama, and a contemplative presence.
