Roman Memories

As a child, I spent some years growing up near Rome. This abstract reminds me of that legacy, the heat and hush of ancient stone beneath a Mediterranean sun. Earthy ochres and sun-drenched siennas blend into cool marble blues and deep, contemplative blacks—layered with patina-like textures that echo the erosion of time and the endurance of beauty.

Divided by bands of intricate, gilded relief, my composition evokes the rhythm of Roman architecture, fresco fragments, and the grandeur of timeworn mosaics. It whispers of lives once lived in villas and along cobbled streets, where myth and memory intertwine.
